YouTube explicitly states that ad blockers are not allowed. Therefore, if you use an ad blocker to circumvent ads, that is unauthorised use of someone else’s work - the literal definition of piracy.
It eliminates the display of that ad, thus removing any potential revenue from that ad (however small) for the producer.
to bring it closer to home: if I find a way to obtain your patron-only audio without paying, that is also piracy. that affects your revenue.
