     This, it's not a problem at all using a nostr client, it just has to do with activity pub being inflexible and alex deciding to use the easiest solution instead of doing something clever that would make it a bit less obnoxious.

     It’s just a mastodon thing, I think it’s that their @ is their user ID. But yeah, even pleroma has crazy random IDs.
