I Had written something thoughtful in reply to this, but Gamescope decided to crash my desktop environment after hitting CTRL C. So, here goes attempt #2. The way I've come to cope with teasing and the occasional wicked sense of humor people may have is by assuming that it is done in good faith until I have a reason to suspect otherwise. By setting reasonable boundaries and shrugging off or playing into the teasing as a joke, you are demonstrating that you aren't letting it get to you.
If the teasing persists and you start to feel uncomfortable by it, then you can tell them it might've been funny the first or second time but it is starting to irritate you now. Most reasonable people will have taken note and apologized no longer continuing to do so. Though if someone is teasing you or another to be mean-spirited then that may be an indicator that you'll want to distance yourself from them if not cut them out of your life entirely.
You owe nobody your time or attention, it is something you offer up freely. So long as you remain polite and civil with those you engage whether that be online or in real life then I see no reason why they shouldn't do the same in turn.
