chjara (chjara@snowdin.town)'s status on Friday, 02-Jun-2023 05:19:16 JST chjara where does the meme of france surrendering come from. france repeatedly kicked everyone's ass for most of european history and then also won ww1 and (the resistance) was instrumental in winning ww2 - kaia likes this.

According to my grandfather, there was more issues in his city when Americans arrived than when the Germans occupied, humanly speaking the Germans treated civilians better than Americans as he told me. Lots of important buildings in the city were destroyed by US bombardment too, like the tram in the tram hangar which were never rebuilt. But he noted that awful stuff happened sporadically notably the day he witnessed a child getting shot because he played with a fake gun.
Funny it is that in france people were allowed to posses gun more freely than today, the laws of the third Reich on that were never completely abolished.kaia likes this. -
