     @james @gabriel You could still get ads but have the ability to remove them is they were freely designed hardware and libre software

     @gabriel They no longer need to just make catchy ads or stress you out. They can literally disrupt your sleep on the root level and control you. That’s right, the chips have root access!
     
     But that’s only because the chips are proprietary. If they were free hardware running free firmware and software, you wouldn’t get ads!
