   There are lots of ways you can use #RSS on the Fediverse:

   -Follow any Mastodon account's public posts through RSS by putting .rss at the end of their profile URL. Use this address in your feed reader software.

   -Follow any PeerTube account or channel by clicking the options menu next to the Subscribe button and selecting RSS.

   -If you are on a Friendica server, you can use it as a feed reader. Paste an RSS feed address in the search box, that feed's posts will appear in your home timeline.

     @feditips RSS was a great idea when it launched but it bypasses all the ads that publishers use to make money, so they just don't provide links anymore. And it's probably bad for the industry anyway. Plus every RSS app I've seen is either horrible, requires a software engineering degree, or charges an exorbitant monthly fee. Remember when you used to be able to just buy things? And like, own them?

     @thunderbird is pretty simple and free? I know it's mainly known for email but it has RSS support too.

     RSS feed readers basically let you follow websites as if they were social media accouhts.

     On RSS apps you put in a feed address (for example my Fediverse profile's feed is https://mstdn.social/@feditips.rss) and whenever a post is added to the feed it will appear in your reader.

     By adding/following feeds from interesting sources, you will end up with a timeline of interesting articles. So, it's like curating your own news service.

     strangely I don't use RSS and I even don't know how to use it.

     This video say RSS is wonderfull but if we don't know HOW to use it It is just useless

     Friendica does that as you will see the same feed on whichever device you log in on. It's not a traditional RSS reader, but if you follow RSS feeds they appear in the Home timeline.

     There's currently no dedicated Friendica app, but it works with the Mastodon API so Mastodon apps should work with Friendica accounts. I'm not sure how the Mastodon apps handle RSS follows though?

     @feditips Is there an FOSS rss reader that syncs between devices without the need for self hosting? Feedly and Inoreader are the ones I generally use, but I really prioritize cross syncing between devices.
