Women are the only people who have ever been misgendered for real. If you were a woman using the internet, playing online games, or posting on message boards pre-2015, everyone would call you "he" by default and accuse you of lying if you said you were female, because women are too dumb to use computers. Everyone was assumed to be male and treated as such. Except women never cared about getting misgendered, because our identities aren't made up.
