The solution is to not do that.
I cannot thing of a single proprietary Android cr..app that you should use.
.apk's from the played store have a signature from google on them, which you can check manually with a tool that comes with the Android SDK, but really, whether or not the signature is valid, such .apk's are guaranteed to contain proprietary malware.

I have been thinking about moving away from the play store as much as possible since I realized recently due to the aurora problems that maybe I am depending too much on the play store.
however I am not sure
for open source apps i can use fdroid and maybe obtanium
but for proprietary apps what should I use?
I was thinking about apkmirror but I'm not so sure.
do you recommend apkmirror? not really sure how apkmirror works and how secure is it
