   If there's a conversation on totally different kinds of Fediverse server, each server will display it in its own format.

   For example:

   In the attached images, you can see a conversation thread in the replies to a PeerTube video post. On Mastodon it will look like a Masto thread, but on PeerTube it will look like comments below the video.

   They are both the same thread! It's just displayed differently depending on which kind of server you're looking at it from.

     Technically it's by client, yes! But I am trying to keep things as simple as possible while people get their heads round totally different server types interacting seamlessly :)

     p.s. If you favourite a PeerTube video post from Mastodon, it will be shown as a like / thumbs up for that video on PeerTube.

     Favourites on Mastodon and Likes on PeerTube are the same thing, they are just displayed differently depending on where you're looking at it from.

     p.p.s. If you want to show a PeerTube video's post within Mastodon, just paste the video's web address into the search box on Mastodon.

     You can only use your account on the server where you registered, because each server is independent.

     It's still quite niche-based, but growing all the time.

     I have an account at @FediVideo which shares interesting PeerTube videos, and a PeerTube server at https://fedi.video which federates with interesting accounts.

     @feditips Something of a side note, how large is the content community of PeerTube as of now? That's the only reason I stick to Youtube.
