@Cousin_Isobel I prefer voice calls for everything. There is so much information conveyed through tone of voice that is lost in text and email. Many people hold back on what they really want to say because they don't want to put it in writing. The only time I want to communicate in writing is when I am dealing with someone that I know to be dishonest. I can see why you would want to have schedule-related things done in writing, though. It's easier to go back and double-check a text than find a note you wrote on paper and misplaced.
