     Why am I excited about this? Because I can do [something like] micro.blog, but self-hosted.

     Because I get (1) the Site Editor—which, like it or not, may very well be the future of WordPress—and (2) microformats—and I don’t even need to touch HTML!—and (3) Webmention, and (4) most everything needed to get a microblog going (archives, randomized slugs, etc.).

     Even now, it’s still … so interesting to see the Facepile block just do its thing, see webmentions work (both ways), just like that!

     Also, run https://build.boddez.net/notes/6f1cf9db20/ through a microformats parser (e.g., https://pin13.net/mf2/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbuild.boddez.net%2Fnotes%2F6f1cf9db20%2F or https://xray.p3k.app/parse?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbuild.boddez.net%2Fnotes%2F6f1cf9db20%2F&pretty=true) and it’s all there, h-card, post type (“bookmark”), and so one. Even the “like” shows up correctly

     Really nice work so far. I had some issues with „like“ and „note“ btw. Will try to file some issues later today.

     @pfefferle I found the old one “too complicated,” when I originally built this (2 or 3 years ago). Having to install two plugins, etc. Sorry!

     Also believe there was something with custom post types. Selected them on the settings page but mentions would not get sent (I think …) unless I did so from a hook.

     I know a lot of that has been addressed in the latest version!

     In theory, both plugins are compatible and one could just choose to disable IndieBlocks’ Webmention function.
