The inability to find an effective response really is scary. It does not contradict your point at all, but I always have to link to this report whenever “Democrats in Florida!” enters the chat:

@jentrification Yeah. I think there’s stil a lot of denial from some of the old guard in the party that democracy can somehow ride out disenfranchisement. I realize we were never going to get the national voting rights revamp I’d want past Manchin and Sinema, but I wish more people in the party were at least yelling from the rooftops about this, tying it to every unpopular thing that passes.
