     @montag @float13 @lmorchard I think you buy them by auditor grade, but I think you can't audit a grade you haven't completed, so potato potahtoe. IIRC, most of the auditing at the OT grades is actually self-auditing because you're auditing your body thetans and past life body thetans. Of course, the church still bills you for the services you provide yourself.

     @float13 @lmorchard I think you probably have to be at a certain Operating Thetan Level to order one, which is why they tell you to call or email someone instead of just giving you a webpage (there doesn't seem to be a listing at all on their site either). You can buy them on ebay, but they're a bit pricey for something that according to their own fine-print doesn't do anything.

     @float13 @lordbowlich @lmorchard Honestly you'd be amazed what you can do by slightly changing how you squeeze them. I coached a friend through his "free stress test" and it was hilarious watching the auditor react every time he gave a little squeeze.

     @roadriverrail Back in about 1990, when I was 15, I got interested in Dianetics from the old volcano TV commercials. I was into reading a lot of pop psych and self-help at the time.

     At some point I took a sidewalk personality test in Royal Oak, MI, where there used to be a Scientology org. From there, I got suckered into a $150 course on self-esteem and assertive communication.

     Ever since then, across at least 12 address changes and 3 states, they have followed me.

     @lmorchard I kinda figured it'd be a story like that. Amazing to think of the resources spent locating you and sending this stuff, and there are so many out there like you. Gives you a sense of what the value further up the sales funnel is.
