Oleg Kozlovsky (kozlovsky@mas.to)'s status on Thursday, 18-May-2023 19:09:56 JST Oleg Kozlovsky Police showed up at Lobanov's doorstep again this morning, as part of an investigation against Ilya Ponomarev—an ex-Duma member & godfather of Free Russia Legion in Ukraine (Lobanov says they never met). The door has already been vandalized with a Z. 3 masked police officers in body armor broke down the door, rushed inside and apparently told Lobanov and his wife to lie down on the floor. What resistance did they expect to meet at a maths professor's home? Being hit with an algebra textbook? 3/

Oleg Kozlovsky (kozlovsky@mas.to)'s status on Thursday, 18-May-2023 19:09:57 JST Oleg Kozlovsky Background: Mikhail Lobanov is a left-wing politician, labor & student rights activist, Kremlin's critic, and mathematician. In 2021, when he ran for the State Duma, it's widely believed that his victory was stolen through fraud with online voting.
Lobanov has campaigned on behalf of political prisoners and condemned the invasion of Ukraine. In 2022, police arrested him for an anti-war protest, searched his home, and twice jailed him for 15 days. 2/
