    @dadalo_admin I'm working on ditto.pub to solve that problem. It doesn't have websocket streaming yet either, but it will very soon.

      @dadalo_admin Mostr works very well because ActivityPub servers and clients work very well. All Mostr has to do is convert and pass the message, and ActivityPub servers do the rest of the work.

      @Moon @dadalo_admin For now it's just an adapter between Mastodon API and Nostr. You can log in with your secret key to use Nostr on all existing Mastodon apps. Soapbox has special support for Ditto with Alby, so you can log in with your pubkey and sign messages client-side. Eventually with Nostr Connect we'll have full secure support for all Mastodon clients.

      But the actually very interesting thing it's going to do in the future, is be an ActivityPub server and a Nostr relay at the same time. The goal of it is to bring the self-hosters from the Fediverse to Nostr. And people will want this because they don't have to choose between protocols - they get both. Migration between Ditto servers is seamless because you bring everything including all your posts, and users can be a member of multiple at once. ActivityPub data will be represented by proxy objects which Ditto servers will merge and treat as one. It's going to do all this with an embedded database and it's going to work great. It will be a game changer.

      @luca @dadalo_admin @Moon It'll be seamless in all the places it can be. When there's unavoidable duplication we'll represent them by proxy objects which servers on each protocol will want to implement.

      @alex @dadalo_admin @Moon

      But conversations are splitted, right ? If i change my pleroma server with a server that can do both, does it work like a crossposter ? I mean, i post something, i guess it appears from the two different identities of myself. Alice reply to me from Nostr, not from my server. Bob reply to me from fediverse. not from my server They don’t see each other contributions, do they ?
