I am *regularly* accused of "siding with Nazis" for still being on Twitter.
These clowns don't understand that -- yes, I do encourage people to look elsewhere, but Twitter is still a *deeply* important part of black networking, whether casual or organizational.
Then people have the nerve to condescend about it, as if WE'RE not the ones who are EXPERTS at navigating spaces owned by the bad guys.

This reason mastodon could fail is moral smugness. Not search. Not quote posts. Not big instances. Not me. Not any other admins.
It’s this shallow abuse of moral authority. . That “you’re with us or against us” as moral authority nonsense.
We have to call this out and it pains me to see people boost this abuse as a good thing.
It’s abuse. if your argument against something is based purely on attacking the character or people who want something else - YOU are the problem.

agree to disagree, but dang folks.. we’re a complex species that want different things and those desires aren’t rooted in evil.
What is evil is your character assisination projected as moral high ground.

@supernovae I mean... What? 🧐 I don't care if someone is smug about their morals in here. Smug away. I am extremely pleased that I don't have to see my posts quoted and laughed at. Quote posting etc on hellbird and meta is like never ending high school bullying, that makes people want to kill themselves. For me Mastodon feels like a safe house from evil and bullying, and personally I would like to see it stay that way. 💗
