     Ditto. This is a Hard Thing.

     Hungary tried (all opposition parties united), and failed.

     Israel succeeded ... but then failed (how is Netanyahu not literally in prison over there? ... sigh)

     New guy sounds good, not just "better than Erdogan" but legitimately good.

     He'd be good for EU, too.

     @aral Yeah. It’s really sad how things have been in Turkey. Really hope the electiob can swing things towards secularism, democracy and against misogony and oppression of the kurds.

     @aral trouble is the US has been too busy meddling into Türkiye, have tainted the opposition and Ergodan will use that to his advantage.

     @aral I've been anxiously awaiting this election for at least 6 months, and telling anyone that listens that this is the most important election of 2023. My hope is that the disasterous earthquake response a few months ago have shaken some people from there need to vote for him, and enough strategically vote against him.
