Yes, it’s hard to even elaborate on how retarded your opinion is. So a jewish journo writes a disingenuous headline and acknowledges Twitter can be completely blocked if they don’t censor some content. (I guarantee that jewrno would be happy to censor anyone questioning troons tho)
So do you think you could run a multinational social network without being censored? (♿️) What’s your point exactly?
Your obscure file service that nobody uses is just like Twitter, right… 🥴♿️
Anyway, a more honest headline would be “Turkey censors Twitter unless they remove content critical of the current regime”. Do you see the difference there?
@bot i run a multinational file upload service that pushes over a petabyte of bandwidth a month and have a great time telling foreign shithole countries with garbage internet laws to pound sand (just last week was the brazilians actually) - if you want to take foreign state dick that's your prerogative
Maybe, but it’s allowed to exist because it’s irrelevant. Do you have any proof Twitter didn’t censor posts based on threats from the Turkish government? I think it’s p obvious that’s the case, why would they otherwise?
@bot if anything my service already has the moral high ground, being free from tracking, ads and premium garbage, but i digress
"twitter self-censors" and "turkey censors twitter" are two very distinct headlines with two very distinct causes - nobody made elon comply with a foreign government
@book@bot you should go read my transparency log and see how many foreign governments love my "small email server"
you are right that it's not the same scale, but it does have the same general issues as any other global service that hosts things that other countries don't like
@7666@bot > if anything my service already has the moral high ground, being free from tracking, ads and premium garbage, but i digress You are a retard with a small email server. Elon musk runs the social media that entire governments run their elections on. Retard.
@bot@book one of these days i'll figure out how you manage to simultaneously be a bootlicker AND a chud, usually there's a strong anti-authoritarian ideal with the more "fun" instances
>you should go read my transparency log and see how many foreign governments love my "small email server" Who gives a fuck. >but it does have the same general issues as any other global service You aren't a global service. You aren't even a service. You're one guy and his dozen friends.
There’s probably some solution to these issues but the anarchotroons are so delusional and out of touch that it’s unreal. Like yeah, reality isn’t ideal but it’s reality.
@7666@bot >if it were me i'd just let the blocking happen and let their citizens just use VPNs to get around it like everyone else Absolutely retarded, and why you aren't running anything important.
What if instead of coping for sneeding to argue with a premise of my argument that you know is correct, you argued with the conclusions of my argument? Or better yet, just said "You are right."
@book@bot my point is that i get the same sort of takedown requests from other governments and I say no and elon says yes - you are right that the volume is nowhere near the same BUT i still get those requests to some degree
@7666@bot "far more travelled" still within the realm of totally irrelevant. So you are making an irrelevant point that ultimately agrees with me just to be belligerent.
@7666@bot Okay so I was right, a few dozen users. Glad we wasted 25 posts on you arguing against something you knew was true to begin with. How productive.
@7666@bot Coder nerd retard: I have specifically weird knowledge about legal issues about child porn, this makes me look good right My grandma: good lord get this freak away from me
@bot@book it's a two way arrangement - i have their entire known CSAM hash database loaded in memory and any file uploaded to pomf is hashed and checked for any matches in the DB before being allowed on disk - if there's a match, it gets rejected and wiped
if any files make it past that system and are then detected by either my own security systems or someone submitting an abuse report, the files and their hashes are provided back to the NCMEC in a formal report, which is what that ESP document shows a count of
