     best you could do is proxy a tab through tor at the moment
     sanyok requested a whitelist for mediaproxy stuff, the main issue is that admins don't want illegal content to end up going through their servers

     @helene @suika There is not much pro to be enable per user, it would way more sane to have it enable for everybody
     Proxy is a bit of a hack, it changes the location of the media(s) in the post to replace the remote instance by your instance
     
     Let’s say you enable proxy later on your profile, Pleroma would have to change on the go (on everything in DB) all links of posts you would request, that’s just insane
