     I always find it strange that the US government will back one of their minted 1 oz gold coins for only $50, when the gold is worth ~$2000 in market conditions. I guess that's what the government will pay you when it's time to seize all the gold from the plebes?

     Just looked at it. They still sell at market value. If shit hits the fan and you think the government will attempt to confiscate them for face value, melt them. 🤷♂️

     No, the Gold Eagles minted by the US Treasury are 91% gold (total one ounce) and the Gold Buffalos are 99.99% gold (total one ounce). This King Charles coin by the Royal Mint is also 99.99% gold.
