indyradioand these idiots who would rather spend billions on bombing the hell out of #Ukraine instead of having #Education and #Healthcare are easily understood. Of course the sick and ignorant will believe whatever bullshit the lying government pushes in their face to steal what little money they have for their friends at Lockheed, where they will have nominal employment when they retire from the job you funded, that they abused for self-enrichment 🧵 .
Yeah, "Slava Ukraine" might as well shoot yourself in the head. Better tell your fuckin CEO of #Mastodon someone is revolting and needs to be silenced. Enough Bullshit! 🧵
@indyradio > Better tell your fuckin CEO of #Mastodon someone is revolting and needs to be silenced. Would it be possible to reduce the sarcasm a little and criticize a little less agressive?
@Jain I pay taxes in the US and am aware not only f the human costs of War, but the personal cost to me of this overblown, Fascist military industrial regime. It is more than half the US budget, and we are controlled by the whim of the military.
@FawnOverFun@indyradio@mia sorry, i might misinterpret but from what i understand there is very much critic on russia. it is a bit different tho and tbh i dont blame the masses tho... critic on the leaders is imho fair and therefore i wouldnt frame him
@mia@indyradio my advice to you, russia lover, fascism is bad, and supporting a country that is getting hurt by it won’t decrease our chances of getting M4A or anything.
that’s dumb shit, biden wouldn’t pass that if we weren’t in ukraine asshole.
@indyradio@blob.cat i don't think there's a dichotomy here. if we didn't send aid to ukraine, we still wouldn't have free college and public healthcare, we should just have the same we have now except with russia owning ukraine
@FawnOverFun@indyradio@mia and thats where im lost... i never interpreted his rant as critic to Zelenskyy... i agree it would be dumbass behavior in the overall context
@Jain The political regime within #Mastodon GMBH is a threat to the world, and even people like Matt Blaze who were early supporters are expressing their doubts. Blaze gave them money, now he says it might e "ill advised to follow him from mastodon dot social". I should be more harsh, given what I know.
@FawnOverFun@indyradio@mia Hmm... I understood this in relation to the military industry and the situation in the U.S. from his previous post and not as a direct statement to the overall situation.
> yeah i mean- i guess it’s fine in an abstract sense to critic biden, but like- even if we stopped sending shit to ukraine he wouldn’t give us healthcare. and thats where my knowledge stops
Overall i would say, its quite ok to express critic but not in the way he did, way to aggressive, far too teasing
@Jain@mia@indyradio well he said “yeah “slava ukraini” might as well kys!!” so i feel like at the very least that’s vitriol towards ukraine supporters.
uhh- i hadn’t read the post in a bit so i kinda forgot what all he said tbh.
yeah i mean- i guess it’s fine in an abstract sense to critic biden, but like- even if we stopped sending shit to ukraine he wouldn’t give us healthcare.
@indyradio > This is not a free speech moderate alternative. It never was intended to be one and blob.cat also puts sociality above free speech. Which leads to the Point that i at least try to understand what you want to express. I also dont mind if you dont say "slava ukraine" for your own political reasons like the military industry in the US but what i do not accept is the generalization of speaking against that sentense in a aggressive way and yes "might as well shoot yourself in the head" is in a new post and is expressed aggresively so in this context i rather warn you to calm down and stop using sarcasm. As you can see you already got interpreted wrong and you should care about that or otherwise i wont tollerate you because this behavior is not what i call a respectfull behavior.
And as for mastodon, yes the behavior of gargron is not appropriate but to call it a massive fraud I think is wrong
@Jain one thing I know, i that although search is hobbled for ordinary users at mastodon dot social, the paid moderators quickly search and find any mention of "Boycott Sanction and Divest" and remove those users with no warning. This is not a free speech moderate alternative. Likewise, if you do not "slava ukraine" you will be screwed in varous ways, and then removed. There are many known individuals who mysterious are not on Mastodon, and when they are, they scrupulously avoid the fearless leader, who has make unilateral decision since 2017 with no question of his dictatorship. There is no transparency, no public records, no board of directors. It needs to be publicly outed as the massive fraud it is.
@Jain It was a very accurate statement that people have been bullied not to make. He will find and destroy anyone who does not agree with his personal politics. This needs to be made widely known by whatever methods possible.
@mia@indyradio of course there are better ways: supporting anti-war protests in Russia and bring Putin down from the inside. Supporting the Ukrainian government aren't very beneficial for the people. It only makes the Ukrainian government more authoritarian, and Ukrainian people suffer more as they are drafted and forced to die by their government.
@tusooa@kazv.moe@indyradio@blob.cat yeah but i feel like the problem here is the capitalism not sending military equipment to a country. all you achieve by not helping ukraine would be having russia own ukraine. which doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over having nato own ukraine, in terms of defeating capitalism
@mia@indyradio the US gov creating a facist army and ripping people out of education and healthcare are but different aspects of the same problem: capitalism.
@tusooa@kazv.moe@indyradio@blob.cat yeah, i support these things, but you can do it without pretending that helping ukraine defend itself is going to prevent public healthcare from happening. that's just counterproductive, really
@tusooa@kazv.moe@indyradio@blob.cat yeah you are saying good things generally im just disagreeing with people who think ukraine shouldn't be supported because we don't get healthcare
@Jain@FawnOverFun@mia some uneducated 15 year old is not going to decide my use of social media. They can just go elsewhere, or simply block me. Thank you.
