This would probably happen pretty frequently if boys and girls teams competed at the middle school level. Girls mature and grow quicker than boys so, at that age there is an advantage.
I maintain my position that as adults, women and men shouldn't be competing because men are typically just bigger.
But who knows.
Winners win regardless of sex. This is stupid. Good for the girls. Teach those boys a lesson in work ethic!
@Tony In 8th grade, the PE teachers of my junior high decided to resolve a dispute over use of the soccer field by mixing the boys' and girls' teams. Like you say, the girls were technically as adept as the boys. I scored a goal in the first game. But then a boy who was near me on the field pulled me aside and told me I should have passed the ball to him, even though I had a clear shot at the goal and he was covered on all sides. Ability isn't the only consideration- males will always prioritize themselves and feel entitled to whatever prize or glory is being "stolen" by a girl or woman.
Psychological studies have shown that men compete harder against women than they do against other men. In sports or business, it's due to the feeling that women are intruders on their territory.

???????? ???We know that when girls are forced to play sports against boys, they usually lose. In the case of Riley Gaines, she was TIED with Lia Thomas in the WOMEN'S division, but the trophy was given to Thomas. So even TYING with a male in women's sport is by default a win by the male. Could it get any worse? What if a mixed-sex team plays an all-male team, and the team with the girls WINS the game? In this case, the trophy was given to the LOSING boys' team because the division is technically a boys' division. 😡 😡 😡
