     pretty is relative thing - many people who consider themselves pretty are average in all aspects or not special - but you gotta throw everything you have at creativity

     and it’s good you expand to videos: I’ve seen podcasts who have also YouTube part to thrive bigly via YouTube also financially

     just please use 4K, nothing else

     @csb I agree on the close proximity giving clarity. My voice sounds much better with that proximity effect. I will be using other mics for voice-over work, but I'm going for a certain look on the show and I don't want to hide my pretty face behind a mic. I'm putting in the sound treatment this weekend. It is very quiet without it, but I do get some echo that I'm going to clean up.

     if you have studio which is acoustically treated it can work out

     I gave up on hiding microphones in video teleconferences:

     — close proximity of dynamic mic gives powerful clarity

     — others can see that I don’t wanna speak if microphone is not near my face (mic disappears via virtual background AI) so communication stress is reduced

     @csb yes for now. once we start doing video we will have off screen overhead samson C02 mics.

     @csb @tenthman 4k is stupid. Higher quality 1080p encoding looks better than low quality 4k encoding. The bit rate is the limiting factor. You can use 4k when you are streaming >50mbps.
