   Aha, thanks, I see it:

     @cwebber @22 @astraleureka it's a good argument but A) I expect facebook has expensive enough lawyers that it doesn't matter how good this argument is and B) I don't understand what's going on in the mind of the google employee who wrote the post because I doubt they agree with you re: whether it's subject to copyright

     @22 @astraleureka @technomancy similarly, before software was copyrightable, all software was free software and all source was open source :P

     @22 @astraleureka @technomancy basically they can't have it both ways: either this stuff isn't copyrightable, and a leaked model can be taken and messed with, or it is copyrightable, in which case the foundational content is somehow incoporated, in which case they're violating copyright all the time
