   But the only campaign posters I see are DAB. Are any non-DAB candidates running or are they all disqualified and/or in jail and/or boycotting the district council election?

     Any non dab party has been jailed or exiled. There is one guy in the parliament who is "moderate" dab. Everyone else is in jail or exiled. Some opposition sometimes arise from some syndicate, but i dont think qi baba would let this developp.

     Take a look at the last official protest in hongkong: 10 persons with a sign about housing prices. If above 10 (or is it 20 ?) person, you must ask the police first for authorization. Some "protests" had more popo than protesters.

     i'm not sure, but i guess the political game now is between dab and extreme pro china figures. Elliptically fixed around an axis
