     The moderator team made a mistake moderating.

     They allow mutual aid (eg "Please donate to my GoFundMe for rent/medical.")

     They don't allow company fundraising ("Invest in Mekka Corp!")

     They don't allow spam ("Please donate!" posted too many times a day, or sent via targeted DM)

     The mistake: they flagged a legit mutual aid request as spam. That caused real harm. They're fixing that.

     But Nóva, who was the admin, was then accused of lots of things that she didn't do or have any part in.

     @mekkaokereke I read the whole thing, and without further context I still really don't know what's going on, beyond Kris being accused of something and needing to take a break. Kris seemed a decent person based on pre-Hachyderm Twitter and now seems to be a pantomime villain to half the internet. Not quite sure what to make of it all beyond upping my estimate of "BlueSky is the future".

     (Not asking for an explanation, just venting. Will probably read around later.)
