   I’ve documented the inline image metadata NIP in the new damus DIPs repo. The purpose of this repo is to document nostr specifications that damus implements that didn't quite reach agreement amoung other nostr client devs. These will always be backwards compatible changes that can be safely ignored by other clients (optimizations, etc).

     There are many things damus implements that are already unspec’d: private zaps, reposts. This just documents them.

     That’s what I did, I don’t always have time to fight for days in nip discussions. This is a place that I can document stuff that isn’t cross-client ready yet (stuff that damus will be willing to change once a spec is agreed upon)

     NIPs that are not fully implemented or bad ideas can exist.
     Why make your own incompatible spec repository?
