     @emilis huh, i think you got it wrong... It is more about Charlie who want to join a Server and doesnt know how Alices or Bobs behavior is until he register himself to one of the server and does have issues with communicating to David on the other Server... As a normal user he is now disapointed and need the help of someone experienced to fix/detect things which would be unnecessary in the first place

     @Jain@blob.cat You wanna expand on that? detecting blocks is a consequence of the information being publicly available.
     for being "transparent" here, as you said, it doesn't matter whether Alice federates her blocks or not. if bob wants to check, he can check for himself without Alice shouting out the entire list for no fucking reason.

     @emilis well if i think the whole situation further, it is probably more a problem which i have and which others cant relate to it... i guess the decision to give power to the users and only enforcing rules on the local server let me show how good admins really do their job or not...

     not to mention, uh, federating blocks still does not help charlie here, he'd still have no clue whats the underlying issue.
     
     what's the actual thing you want? cause it sounds like you're trying to argue for something else (cause the scenario makes no sense at all. or, at best, absurdly naive)
