     @Gargron You need to simplify social media verification. Most people verify Twitch, Patreon, YouTube, Instagram. Check out how easy it is to verify social networks in Discord

     @Gargron @arstechnica well I think anyone can impersonate by placing that rel='me'. Consider what if I just get myself a domain like thisiselonmusk.com and put rel=me there. Will I become Elon Musk?

     @Gargron @arstechnica Verification remains very tricky to get working. Eventually it happened for our @okaphone account. But right now I'm struggling with this account.

     The back link has been in place for about a day (before I tried). I've been clearing caches, logging out and in, modifying my setting in various ways, changing the URL in minor ways, waiting... but sofar no luck.

     Maybe you guys should do some testing on this important functionality and make it a bit more reliable. 🤔
