     @ernie maybe GNOME 3 was released to distros too early, or they did a poor job of having it simply replace GNOME 2, but GNOME 3 got really pretty good and pretty fast. For all the user-focused issues with desktop Linux, GNOME isn't one.

     @ernie As I like to say in every (joking) complaint about Apple. "I did not purchase a non-ADB NeXTStation Turbo in 1994 to be treated like this in 2023 by a person who has no concept of NetInfo."

     @mattl I think it’s one of those things where people can’t let go of old beefs. Like, this guy is reliving conversations he had in 2013 as if they have bearing on where the project is today.
