Some high ranking figure at Apple gave the manager in charge of Pages flack because their average review score was low.
In reality, the review system is broken. Tons of users write reviews to get tech support, which make them overwhelmingly negative. So every large app games the review system to compensate.
But the Pages manager can't control the App Store, so he rolls with it and adds an annoying prompt.
@adamconover IDK, but I am working retail at a large international brand on the weekends, and even our own internal applications will do this.
The worst is the cash register app, which every 5–6 sales will have a full screen popup that asks me to fill out a survey about if I am enjoying the app or not and if I have any feedback. I probably have to dismiss that stupid thing 10 times a day minimum if I am working cash wrap.
