   @jeffcliff @Abby @john_idol @MoriartyLab my doctor disagrees with this. After having Covid myself I have zero permanent inflammation. Me and my wife, are two family. Also my 30+ friends. Maybe we are just strong as shit with excellent genes

     No they don't. Viruses don't care if they kill their hosts, *or their host species*. We are playing with fire in allowing covid to mutate.

     You are being misled. Covid is *not* "nearing flu-like symptoms". It causes permanent immune system, brain and heart damage

     The first couple variants are dead, yeah?
     Mostly, at least
     The new variants trended towards more infectious, less deadly
     In fact, that makes sense
     You can't reproduce in a dead host
     I can't say I've "Done The Research", I've fallen off the curve years ago, I would have a hell of a time parsing it
     But from what I've heard and seen and experienced, the current strains going around are not NEARLY as deadly or dangerous as the ones we locked down for, in fact nearing flu-like symptoms in severity.
     Am I saying no precautions should be taken?
     No
     In fact, I dare say that we should treat flu in general more like what it is.
