     It’s great (sort of) — it works to inform you about missing alt text — the problem then is that there is no path to correct it (at least not in the advanced web interface that I am using). You can’t edit the post/image to add alt text. Makes it more frustrating than useful.

     Is there something I am missing?

     In the Mastodon interface as of version 4.1, you can edit the alt text of an image.

     And you can always delete and repost.
