@randometc @danhon I think the ethernet or fiber is better in the long run and the MoCA adapters can be spendy.
But, if it’s near impossible to replace the coax in an ancient house without damaging plaster walls, MoCA is kinda magic

@danhon oh crap I’ve been cutting ours out and slowly pulling Ethernet or fiber where I can. Did not occur to me to use the coax ?♂️
For some reason the coax splitters for the unreasonable number of coax outlets is... outside the house. And unlabeled.
But I did figure out which ones go to the two ends of where I need Ethernet to stick the moca 2.5 adapters.

“hahaha,” buzzed the recessed lighting. “pwned you”

"Modern houses don't have scheduled maintenance" ahahahahahaha
Trying to do electrical stuff here is like "on Friday at 11am there will be 1 hour of scheduled maintenance involving downtime of all electrical systems" for me to see if anything at all has a neutral wire or if we have hidden doorbell wire fml who built this undocumented 1940s project
A camera smart enough to notice and let me know when a person is near a door, but not smart enough to not tell me when that person IS ME
Whoever predicted I would want to spend an unreasonable amount of money on Lutron kit was correct, but first I need an electrician to tell me how fucked we are.
Biscuit figured out what the garden window's for, then
there, I put the door protector on
Accidentally amazoned something to the wrong house fml
