@SusanMaury what an interesting study. I find it curious that couples with children are more likely to be lonely than those living alone though? I mean, it's hard work having children for sure, but I've always thought they help you to meet other adults - perhaps during COVID people simply couldn't and it emphasised their isolation? I don't know..
@clacke@Ruth_Mottram@SusanMaury Unless your only interest is children, at least having smaller children will prevent/reduce the opportunities to spend time with people with shared interest. At least I lived in a bigger city and could bring my son to things just around the corner, so less logistics required. He has been to Linux user groups before he could walk. And as for couples... loneliness is worse if you are with someone and still experience it.
