   i have been very clear with my daughter that she will not entertain attending any Florida colleges because my wallet will not entertain paying for it

     From where things sit right now, I wouldn’t put my money on one of those degrees retaining its reputational value over time — or even on any particular Florida educational institution remaining its immediate educational value over the next 4 years.

     @jentrification I mean, if residential / immersive college has value beyond professional certification — and I think it does, for many folks at least — it’s as a socially and intellectually rich nurturing environment that fosters meaningful lifelong personal connections and people getting out of their comfortable assumptions and seeing the world with new eyes. And that’s going to happen in FL now?!
