rootfake (rootfake@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 13-Apr-2023 13:48:29 JST rootfake @annecavicchi @saddestrobots lots of them, you have to remember that cops don't just make whatever their listed salary is, they also make overtime and detail rate. Every cop you see directing traffic for road work or events is not an underpaid civil servant, but someone making ~$50 an hour extra on top of their base pay, and lots of those details are just sitting in a car at a certain place all day.
