   Some time ago I posted a LinkedIn comment proposing the current bent of IT to prefer younger and/or foreign workers might be because those groups are more 'compliant' than the seasoned pro; more concerned with a visa or income, they park their ethics at the door.

   I received hate mail for weeks.

     In response to my blog post yesterday:

     I've heard from an array of AI-affiliated engineers confirming my assertions. They tell of repeatedly warning managers and executives about the limitations of these generative models, ethical considerations and other concerns related to how they're being ordered to do training, processing, public availability, and more -- but being repeatedly told to move ahead anyway, all of these important issues be damned. And some fear repeatedly bringing these issues up, convinced that they will be fired and replaced with more "compliant" workers.

     An increasingly untenable situation. -L
