     @heurism The more I read about the history of westerns as a genre, the more I am convinced they're less about showing the experience of cowboys and more about Wyatt Earp's attempts at giving himself an overly-heroic biography, paired with the fact that he hung out with John Ford and everyone wanted to copy John Ford.
