The thing is, you could replace IDS/IPS with EDR and the sentence would be just as true. Theres some much shit EDR doesn't catch. and just because systems no longer provide local admin doesn't mean that malware is solved forever™

@da_667 This is a weird way this person to say they've had limited system/network admin experience. Good luck trying to yank local admin let alone network segmentation. Every org is going to have janky infra with 0 downtime allowance that will topple over unless the network is as flat as Nebraska. It shouldn't, but it does.
