The DOJ has a policy of not indicting a sitting president, because to do so would “undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions.”

It’s for arguably similar reasons that Republicans have taken umbrage at Bragg’s indictment of Trump. In doing so, the Manhattan D.A. has impeded racist bigot Trump’s ability to promote the party’s Christian White nationalist agenda.
