I post this once a month. Most people donate on the day I post it.
If I don't post at all, the donations stop.

I do pin the post, it's pinned all the time, but people ignore it.
The donations only happen in the day or two after the post appears. They don't happen after that.
If I want to cover my monthly hosting costs I have to re-post this once a month. (I have the websites, the Mastodon instance and the PeerTube instance to cover.)
