TV series recommendation: DARK WINDS, on AMC, is based on Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee series, about two Navajo police officers investigating mysteries in the US Southwest. I think I read one of them long ago.

Anyway, this six-episode series adapts one of the novels: after an armored-truck robbery, the criminals fly a helicopter onto the Navajo reservation and then disappear. What happened, who did it, and are they ever caught? There's also an at-risk teenager whose mother claims to be a dangerous witch, the FBI is taking an interest in the robbery, and the body count slowly creeps upward. Apparently season #2 has already been greenlit!
