   @gnusocialjp I'm embarassed to say this, as I've been here for months, but what does SNS stand for? I've been trying to figure it out, and the best I can think of is Social Network Service.

     @gnu2 That's right. SNS=Social Networking Service. DSNS=Distributed SNS (almost = Fediverse).

     @gnusocialjp so DSNS is a wider ranger than just #Fediverse, which many people take to mean only platforms that support ActivityPub, and specifically discount services like Diaspora.
