Do you ever experience your brain just spinning in a loop when processing what someone just said? This usually happens to me when I don’t know if a word is meant literally or has many meanings and I don’t know which one I’m supposed to use.

Your brain isn’t in a loop.
You aren’t “stuck” or “broken”.
You are ”hyper-preference processing” in particular parts of your brain.Longer version:
As an #ActuallyAutistic person, your ? is amongst other things capable of hyper-perception, hyper-attention, and hyper-memory (and sadly also downsides like hyper-fear), which results in “excessive learning and memory processes, [which could cause] sensory regions [to] consolidate into overspecialized modules and lead to hyper-preference processing”.
