phillmv (phillmv@hachyderm.io)'s status on Monday, 20-Mar-2023 23:19:29 JST phillmv google maps told me to make a left turn that was actually not permitted. so, i tried to report it, somehow, flag the directions for review.
it turns out… you can’t? google maps offers no mechanism to report routes, even when it tells you to do illegal or dangerous things.
this is unfortunately very common — algorithms that are impervious to feedback — and it has dark implications for how we treat people ?.
