@AbandonedAmerica yeah he's a coward but he's not stupid. I just meant that I wonder if he's trying to get ahead of impending punishment for Jan. 6 as a reason for his sudden spine. He doesn't seem the type to speak out unless he directly benefits

@WendyMsGator thanks Wendy. I share your disdain for him. I hope he keeps singing this song for the rest of his life because he absolutely should. I want more Trump cronies to denounce him and their own role in his circus. But denouncing him is a really important part of that process. They should all be in a prison. Revised the original response to better reflect my feelings in light of what you just said.

@WendyMsGator I'm aware. I'm surprised, when it took him this long, that he ever spoke out. Or said any of the things he said here. I expected him to slink off in silence and never risk ruffling the feathers of the still quite existent Trumpist wing of the government

PENCE is speaking out NOW because Trump's influence in the GOP is waning dramatically. He has had YEARS to speak out but has not chosen to do so until the Trump star has waned and indictment appears likely with each passing day.
Pence hasn't grown a spine, just launched an opportunistic attack on a fading opponent.
That CROWD on Jan 6 was threatening to HANG him. I would have spoken out a long time before now in the face of that very clear threat.
