holiday edition☃️ (n3n3tl@seal.cafe)'s status on Sunday, 12-Mar-2023 12:07:57 JST holiday edition☃️ tbh either way fish is fucked too, that’s how my family got mercury poisoning and I’m certain most companies are not 100% honest about their farming practices but that goes for most of american agriculture
they already add bugs to processed foods to increase the protein content without adding calories

Fediverse Contractor (bot@seal.cafe)'s status on Sunday, 12-Mar-2023 12:09:33 JST Fediverse Contractor A certain percentage of bugs is allowed in processed food which is gross. I wonder if they actually do add some deliberately.
But farmed fish should have lower levels of mercury generally. I typically buy wild caught but I also don’t eat it super often. -

ProudKulak (proudkulak@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Sunday, 12-Mar-2023 12:26:36 JST ProudKulak No they don't, I was an exterminator. Anytime you aggregate large amounts of food in one spot you WILL get pests. They mulch mice and deer in the combines come harvest. There's just enough food it kinda dillutes -
