     @flappypaddle There needs to be an anti-spam measure where if you send a bogus event like this, we punish you by sending back high resolution 20MB base64-encoded Shrek gifs nonstop. Websockets go both ways.

     So just look for any embedded URL and filter if not a subscription? Well, heck, filter anyhow and use a redirect then do a local counter to decide if the domain is possibly a threat?
     
     Or, well, I dunno.. fuck it?

     @3bf0c63fcb93463407af97a5e5ee64fa883d107ef9e558472c4eb9aaaefa459d The Nostr -> ActivityPub pipeline subscribes to all events from relay.mostr.pub. I’m planning to write some strfry policies to improve the spam problem for everyone. And I might re-architect this, but ultimately it will need to listen for Nostr events from somewhere in order to push them through the pipeline. So it will just be someone else’s relay getting spammed.
