    We made the choice with #Fedilab to enable by default accessibility warnings.
    That means you will be warn if you publish media without content descriptions or when boosting messages not having media descriptions.

    Also, don't forget that Fedilab now supports the edition of media in messages, so you can update if you forgot to add a media description.

      @OrbitalDev @apps

      Which is what I said in the first place. "At least it's just a default."

      @wtwagg @OrbitalDev
      Yes, it can be turned off. We only built that features and turned on by default.

      And the poster can decide how accessible they want to be. I would not use an app with a nag that I can't turn off.

      This is a great feature, but I wish it would only warn me when I try to post without alt text. As it is, the warning pops up every five seconds or so until I add a description to my images. Since it overlaps the description box, it makes it harder to do what it's reminding me to do.

      What about prompting directly to enter the descriptive text, might be more efficient and less annoying no? ?
      Being annoying is a way to antagonize people. So imo it's a good example of a false good idea.

      Also I can see (few) valid reasons not to put descriptions, just imagine you need to share a picture before the cops seize or break your phone or something. Do you want this reminder to nag you in the heat of the moment? I don't trust an app favoring ideology over users' choice. #Tusky
